ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Completed Masters of Medicine in General Surgery from a reputable university OR Membership (MCS) training with COSECSA
Strong commitment to advancing skills and knowledge in Urology
Ready for full-time competence-based training
Training starts in February 2026, lasts three years and based at Uro Care Hospital
A modest allowance will be offered during the training period for Ugandans

KEY DUTIES
Carrying specimens to the laboratory
Carrying medications and supplies from the pharmacy or stores
Moving medical equipment between wards, theatres, and departments
Delivering supplies like linen, sterile packs, to patient wards
Escorting patients to different departments (radiology, theatre, physiotherapy, etc.)
Assisting patients who need wheelchairs or stretchers
Helping with patient transfers to wards and other departments (under nurse supervision)
Transporting hospital mail, patient files, test results, reports, and discharge papers
Helping keep equipment and materials in the right places
Responding quickly to staff requests
Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Diploma training in relevant field from a recognized institution
Additional training in healthcare support services is an added advantage
Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is an added advantage
Good physical fitness - ability to walk and stand for long hours
Time management skills - delivering items promptly and efficiently
Communication skills - able to follow instructions and interact with staff and patients courteously
Attention to detail - ensuring correct specimens, medications or files are delivered
Basic infection control knowledge - safe handling of specimens and medical supplies
Reliability, punctuality, and professional demeanor
Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and nights
